Held at the Griffith Golf Club, the pro-am marks the start of four events in the Riverina area.
Even though the town has hardly seen any rain in 2018 the Professionals were amazed at the quality of the fairways and greens that greeted them.
Scott Arnold took advantage of the perfect morning conditions to post a 5-under 66, with Ford equalling the benchmark to share the victory.
Ford has been in great form so far this season and currently leads the Ladbrokes Pro-Am Series National Order of Merit.
“I’ve had a great start to the season and I’m glad my form has continued across the border. The course today was in fantastic condition and I’m glad I travelled up from Melbourne after playing at Rosebud," said Ford.
In outright third position was Tim Stewart with a 4-under 67, rounding out the top-5 was Matt Stieger with 3-under 68 and Theo Coroneo with 2-under 69.
The NSW/ACT Ladbrokes Pro Am Series heads to Leeton for the SunRice Pro-Am over the weekend.
