On a murky wet New Zealand South Island day Tim Elliott shot the round of the tournament to take out the title.

The Waitikiri layout combined with the difficult conditions meant that a 1-under par 70 to round off the previous two rounds of 73 & 71 was good enough to win by five shots from Queenslander Brad Burns.

Two birdies and one bogey on the front nine saw Elliott out in 1-under and increase his lead, a birdie on the par 5 10^th was followed by a bogey on the 11^th but seven straight pars to come home was good enough to get the job done.

Victorian David Good was equal third but at 69 years of age took out the Super Senior section in style.

Australian PGA Seniors Champion Martin Pettigrew and pre-tournament favourite Mike Harwood failed to fire returning 75 and 76 respectively to run T6 and T9.

The players finish the New Zealand Leg of the Legends Tour at Bottle Lake in a one day event for $15,000.
