The Morisset Ladbrokes PGA Pro-Am teed off in overcast conditions with the morning more favourable for scoring.

No one told Alex Edge who will take a two shot lead into the final day after playing in the tougher afternoon conditions.

Edge got off to a slow start but with a string off four birdies in a row and a birdie to finish off the round he would sign for an impressive 6-under 66.

His closest pursuer is Nathan Miller who shot the low round of the morning a 4-under 68

A group of five players sit three shots off the leader. Damien Jordan, Luke Whitbread, Mitchell Brown, Grant Binns and Andrew Campbell all shot 3-under 69.

The leading groups will tee off at 12:30pm
