After a brilliant runner-up finish in his
last start, Brett Drewitt is on the verge of breaking into the all important
top-25 on the Web.com Tour money list with a good result this week.

"BrettThe New South Welshman, playing his second
year on the secondary American circuit, sits less than $3,000 outside the 25th
position after picking up a cheque for $50,400 at the BMXW Charity Pro-Am a
fortnight ago.

The prize was easily the biggest of his
Web.com career, eclipsing the $22,800 he picked up for a T5 last year in Chile.

After graduating from the PGA Tour China in
2014 Drewitt struggled to find his feet for much of last season and had to
return to the Q-School in December.

His form this year had been little better
prior to his last start but with that new found confidence he will be expecting
bigger things for the rest of the year.

Drewitt is one of seven Australians teeing
up in the Dominican Republic this week alongside Steve Allan, Mathew Goggin,
Bryden Macpherson, Oliver Goss, Greg Chalmers and Scott Gardiner.

Like Drewitt, Bryden Macpherson also seemed
to find something at the BMW event two weeks ago where he posted his best
finish of the season.

A dominating run on the PGA Tour China late
last year saw Macpherson play his way back to the Web.com Tour after an
unsuccessful 2015 campaign but those results are yet to carry over to this
season.

A T16 in South Carolina last week will have
boosted Macpherson’s confidence and he will be looking to parlay that into more
good play this week.

For the rest, 2016 continues to be a difficult season
with only Steve Allan and Greg Chalmers inside the top-100 on the money list.
