Hend joins Brett Rumford, Wade Ormsby, Richard Green andMarcus Fraser in the field as he plays his first event on the Tour sinceearning a card with a win at last year’s Hong Kong Open.

It is a double debut of sorts for Hend who also makes hisfirst appearance at Abu Dhabi, his first tournament for 2015.

Since it’s inception in 2006 no Australian has hoisted theAbu Dhabi trophy and all five will be keen to make their mark in the historybooks this week.

Both Brett Rumford and Richard Green have played thetournament six times but neither have found the course to their liking with notop 10’s between them and missed cuts each of the last three years for Rumford.

Marcus Fraser has played the last four years for a bestfinish of T21 but Wade Ormsby might be the surprise performer this year.

After his best season as a Professional in 2014 Ormsby camewithin a whisker of winning the Australian PGA Championship in December andenters 2015 with plenty of confidence.

He finished T28 in his first appearance last year but after12 months of good performances and growing self belief will be expecting betterthis week.

Qualifying School graduates Andrew Dodt and Jason Scrivenerare both on the alternate list this week though unlikely to get a start.
