The second round of the Shepparton BMW Victorian Senior Open continued yesterday over the Murray Course at Yarrawonga Mulwala Resort.
A stunning summers day matched the perfectly manicured Murray Course with winds through the gum trees along the Murray River.
The early starters found scoring difficult with players failing to master the slick greens.
The early pace was set by New South Welshman David Hughes who carded his second 1-over 73 for a 146 total.
Queensland’s Paul Dalgleish was the first player to go under par on day two; five birdies helped him return a 71 for an even par total of 144.
The lowest round of the day came from Heathcote Professional Bryan Wearne whose 2-under 70 moved him into contention and three shots off the lead.
David Hando also shot 70 in the last group of the day.
Dalgleish leads going into the final round commencing at 8am today.
