""The South Australian will take plenty of confidence from his weekend scores of 65-69 at the Ras Al Khaimah Golf Challenge in the UAE, the good play vaulting him up the standings between Friday and Sunday.

Cullen is 31st on the year long Road to Oman where the top-15 will earn status on the European Tour next year, the 2014 Australian Masters champion now needing a win in the final event of the season if he is to be among that number.

With 19 birdies for the week Cullen’s game is clearly in a good place and despite dropping nine shots for the week he will fancy his chances at the Grand Finale in two weeks’ time.

With a week off to regroup, and decent form at the tournament last year including a second round 66, he will be looking forward to making the trip to Oman.

Cullen was one of four Australasians to play this week though only he and New Zealand’s Matthew Perry made the cut.

Perry finished the week 3-under-par and T53 while Ben Eccles and amateur Mark Burrell both missed the cut.
