Sam Brazel has produced his best golf of 2015 to race home in fourth position at the inaugural World Classic in Singapore and vault into the top 20 on the Asian Tour’s Order of Merit.

"SamA final round 1-under-par 70 at the difficult Laguna Golf and Country Club was enough to move the Lismore native five places up the leader board in a tournament which saw just two players finish under par for the week.

Brazel opened the tournament with a 2-under round on Thursday to share the lead and while he was over par each of the next two days never fell out of the top 10.

Scott Barr also produced his best play for the year, a T8 finish his first top 10 of 2015 and enough to move him inside the top 60 on the Order of Merit.

Barr has played a limited schedule in 2015 teeing up just 11 times in Asia but missing five cuts, this week’s result an important step in keeping his playing rights for 2016.

Only the top 60 on the Order of Merit keep their cards at the end of the season and Barr started the week 63rd though now stands 58th.

Josh Younger was next best of the Australians at T11 followed by Terry Pilkadaris (T37), Matthew Giles (T43), Jarrod Freeman (T50), Marcus Both (T60) and Unho Park (65th).

Jake Stirling, Adam Groom, Peter Stojanovski, Kalem Richardson and Rick Kulacz all missed the cut.
