At the Indonesian Masters last year Marcus Both turned
around an indifferent start to his Asian Tour campaign to finish in a share of
16th, a performance that springboarded him to his first Asian Tour
victory two weeks later in the Phillipines.
Now, with the Phillipines Open off the schedule this year,
the 35-year-old will be looking to again turn around an indifferent start to
the season and perhaps even improve on his top-20 finish in Indonesia from 2014.
Both, who admitted after last year’s win he had considered
giving the game away during an extended lull in form, has missed all three cuts
of his Asian Tour season so far but coming off a break of several weeks will be
fresh and ready to play this week.
Both is one of 15 Australians who will tee up at Royal
Jakarta Golf Club in a field that also includes international stars Lee
Westwood and Thomas Bjorn.
The full Australian contingent is: Both, Jake Stirling, Paul
Spargo, Josh Younger, Peter Stojanovski, Scott Barr, Matt Jager, Unho Park, Sam
Brazel, Kalem Richardson, Kieran Pratt, Mathew Giles, Adam Groom, Jarrod John
Freeman and Dimi Papadatos.
