U.S. based Professional Graham Banister has taken out the $20,000 Tooheys St Georges Basin Ladbrokes Legends Pro-Am recording a 1-under par round of 69 in trying conditions.
A field of 68 Professionals embarked on the region including marquee PGA Ladbrokes Legends Tour players Michael Harwood (70), Terry Price (77) and Rodger Davis (73).
In his first tournament since arriving back in Australia, Banister was somewhat surprised by the result having landed in the country less than 24 hours prior to his tee-off.
“I’m still waiting for the jet-lag to kick in,” he said jokingly in his acceptance speech.
It was a tightly packed leader board with six players tied 2nd on even par and a further eight players a single shot further back.
The Tooheys St Georges Basin Pro-Am starts an extremely strong leg of the Ladbrokes PGA Legends Tour with two day events at Mollymook, Bermagui and Catalina before heading inland for the $100,000 NSW Senior Open at Thurgoona.
