A last round charge from the Australians gave the crowds
something to cheer about at Kingston Heath today.

Marc Leishman and Adam Scott combined on Sunday of the ISPS
HANDA World Cup of Golf to shoot 7-under 65.

While there were plenty of birdies to celebrate the Aussies
left their run too late finishing in a share of 9^th on 11-under the
card.

"It was nice to finally see a few putts drop and some red numbers on
the leaderboard.  So it’s definitely a
lot more enjoyable out there today when you can play like that," said Leishman. 

"You know, it’s unfortunate that we couldn’t start that on Thursday,
but it’s something to build towards for next week."

"It was tough conditions Thursday and Friday in the
wind.  And we didn’t play poorly, but we
didn’t play good enough to be at the top of the leaderboard," added Scott.

"We just didn’t have the momentum over the weekend to catch
up.  But there were some good signs."

Kingston Heath proved a wonderful host with the Aussie pair
enjoying the opportunity to team up and represent their country.

"It was great fun. 
It’s nice to play in this format for a change, have a teammate.  We both would have liked to have played
better for each other and for ourselves, but we still had a good time out.  It was enjoyable," said Leishman.

"Look, it’s always more fun if you’re playing better and
winning.  We just were trying hard to get
it going and couldn’t get it going this week," added Scott, who summed up the
challenge of the famed sandbelt course. 

"That’s the beauty of this golf course.  Even though it’s short by yardage, you’ve got
to be so precise, especially when the wind’s blowing, makes it even tougher.

"If we were just a little bit sharper, we could have got it
in there a little bit closer to the pin and had a more realistic chance of
making some putts, but we weren’t hitting it close enough. 

"That’s why we love this golf course.  It was a pleasure playing it and I think
every player who’s played it is going to go away raving about it and that’s a
really positive thing."
