Scott Arnold is in danger of losing his status on the European Challenge Tour after missing the cut at this week’s EMC Golf Challenge Open in Rome.

The Sydneysider has dropped to 80th on the Order of Merit with just three full field events to go before the season ending Tour Championship

Only the top-45 money earners for the season retain playing privileges with the top-15 earning promotion to the main European Tour.

Arnold has had a difficult year on the secondary Tour teeing up 17 times for just €18,679 in earnings.

He has only missed five cuts but with just one top-10 for the season, and only one other top-20, his earnings have been minimal.

The Challenge Tour now has a week’s break before back to back events in China.
