Queensland golfer Maverick Antcliff has posted his best result as a Professional with an impressive fourth place finish on the China Tour.

""Antcliff was the leading Australian at the White Mountain Wanda Open courtesy of a brilliant final round 67 to get to 10-under par and six behind winner Rak Hyun Cho.

The 24-year-old earned his card for the new look China Tour at Qualifying School in May and after a T35 and T20 result in his first two starts found his game in Jilin Province this week.

Antcliff finished one shot ahead of Victorian Deyen Lawson who is fast becoming a force on the China Tour.

Lawson’s worst finish in three starts has been a sixth placing, his T5 this week coming after a T3 result last week.

He was rock solid over the four days at the White Birch Club and will move to third on the Order of Merit behind tournament winner Rak Hyun Cho and fellow Australian Bryden Macpherson.

Macpherson and Cho are the only two winners on the Tour through the first three events, the pair separating themselves at the top of the Order of Merit though Cho now holds a healthy lead.

The former British Amateur champion was at less than his best for the week and failed to break 70 in any of the four rounds on his way to a T13 finish.

Kevin Yuan joined fellow rookie Antcliff in posting his best result of the year, the Sydneysider finishing T7courtesy of a blistering final round 66.

All 12 Australians in the field made the cut, Peter Martin next best at T24 followed by Max McCardle (T32), Austin Bautista (T37), Christopher Wood (T44), Mitchell Brown (T47), James Gibellini (T52), Corey Hale (T63) and Lincoln Tighe (69th).
