The second wave of the Asian Tour’s first stage of Q-School gets underway on Thursday with 36 Australians among those hopeful of earning a spot in the final stage next week and a chance at a full card for 2015.

The second wave of the Asian Tour’s first stage of Q-School gets underway on Thursday with 36 Australians among those hopeful of earning a spot in the final stage next week and a chance at a full card for 2015.

In all 283 golfers will tee up this week at two venues inThailand with around 50 to advance to next week’s final stage where 40 cardswill be awarded.

20 Australians will be in action at the Springfield RoyalCountry Club in Hua Hin with 16 teeing up at the nearby Imperial Lakeview GolfClub.

Neven Basic and Jordan Sherratt lead the 16 Australians atLakeview while Gavin Flint and Matt Stieger are the best known Australians atSpringfield.

Eight Australians have already punched their ticket to thefinal stage after the first wave of Q-School was staged last week.

Matt Jager, Chris Gaunt, Rohan Blizard, Jarrod John Freeman,Matt Giles, Kevin Lee, Andrew Martin and Daniel Nisbet will all tee up nextweek after palying well at last week’s stage one.
