Lucien Tinkler has won the Club Catalina Legends Pro-Am by one shot in a tight finish from overnight leader David Merriman, second placed Peter Woodward and Glenn Joyner.
Securing his second straight win on the NSW South Coast swing, Tinkler fired a great second round of 69, 3-under par including a hat-trick of birdies on the 13th, 14th and 15th holes only to give a shot back on the last with a closing bogey.
Merriman stood on the 17th tee needing two pars to finish in a tie with Tinkler already in the clubhouse, however, a closing bogey saw him finish one stroke back.
Woodward birdied the 17th hole to get within one and had a birdie opportunity on the 36th hole which slid past the hole to also finish one shot adrift.
Glenn Joyner had a solid last round of 2-under par 70 to complete the three-way tie for second place.
The conditions were pretty much a carbon copy of round one, with early showers clearing to a cool and partial sunny day and light winds. The second round scores reflected the conditions.
Other scores of note in the final round included a four under par 68 from Mike Harwood and a 71 from Tim Elliott
