Peter Senior looks likely to lose playing rights on the US Champions Tour after finishing mid-field at this week’s Kia Classic and remaining outside the top 30 on the Charles Schwab Cup points list with just one event remaining.

Peter Senior looks likely to lose playing rights on the US Champions Tour after finishing mid-field at this week’s Kia Classic and remaining outside the top 30 on the Charles Schwab Cup points list with just one event remaining.

The 55-year-old Queenslander, one of Australia’s most successful players and a three time Australian PGA champion, has had four successful years on the over 50’s circuit since earning a card at the 2010 Qualifying School.

He has amassed almost $5 million in earnings in his 50’s after playing limited competitive golf for during his 40’s as he concentrated on business and family.

Senior will likely tee up at next week’s AT&T Championship in Texas but with only one top 10 at the course in four appearances he won’t take a lot of confidence into the week.

Steve Elkington also played this week’s Kia Classic finishing a shot better than Senior and T38.
