Adam Bland and Brad Kennedy are the top two Australasians on the Japan Tour money list after both finished top 10 at the prestigious Bridgestone Open this week.

The pair have overtaken New Zealand’s
Michael Hendry, who has had the honour for most of 2014, to be 31^st
and 32^nd on the rankings.

Bland finished in a share of 6^th
at 11-under the card while Kennedy was a shot further back and T10.

Hendry, who started the year in good form with
two top 10’s in his first six starts, has slipped in the second half of the
season and missed the cut at the Bridgestone, his fourth weekend off for the
year.

Kurt Barnes, who played well in this event
last year, posted his best result since July with rounds of 66-73-69-68 to
finish T19.

Steven Conran and David Smail (T40) were
the only others to make the cut.

Meanwhile, Victoria’s Peter Wilson will
play the 2015 Japan Tour after finishing third on the season ending money list
of the secondary Challenge Tour.

Wilson had two wins and two other top 10’s
in a 15 event schedule to earn just over AU$50,000 but more importantly a place
on the main tour next year.

The top five earners on the secondary Tour
are promoted and Wilson will join several Australasians already playing in
Japan.

Wilson won the second event of the season
in May and triumphed again last month. A third victory would have seen him earn
immediate promotion but he is now prepared for a full schedule in 2015.
