The lead group of James Nitties, Justin Warren and Josh Geary have just gone through the turn.

Nitties is holding very steady with two birdies on no bogeys on his scorecard so far. He is now 15-under the card and is one shot clear of the field.

New Zealander Geary is the one providing the biggest challenge to Nitties. He overcame a bogey on the opening hole to make the turn at 4-under. He is 14-under and just one shot off the lead.

Amateur Justin Warren looked strong early at 3-under after five holes. But a string of three bogeys saw him through the turn at even par. He is 12-under and three behind Nitties.

Victorians Andrew Kelly and Daniel Valente are making strong moves up the leaderboard. They are both 4-under after 12 holes to be 10-under and T4.

They are both fighting for a place at the BetEasy Masters next week. The top-2 and tied Professionals from the top-10, not already exempt, will earn a place in the field.

Other highlights from the morning include a 7-under from New Zealander Ben Campbell. He made the cut on the number and now finds himself T19 on the leaderboard.

Gavin Fairfax fired a 6-under 66 round to move inside the top-10.
