Allan Cooper has taken out the 2014 Cronulla Legends Pro-Am on Thursday by two shots ahead of fellow Queenslander Hugh Dolan.

It is the fourth win of the 2014 E-Z-GO Legends season for Cooper and solidifies a spot in the top-10 on the E-Z-GO Legends Tour order of merit.

After a superb opening round of four-under-par 66, Cooper had made the turn in one-over-par on Thursday’s final round and in windy conditions it was enough to keep him in the mix as the likes of Tim Elliot and Mike Harwood were struggling to make up ground on the leader.

"I birdied 10 and 11 which really got me back on track and feeling in control" said Cooper who is coming of a third place finish at the Australian Senior PGA Championships at Richmond last month.

"The course was in amazing condition and really presented a great test of golf.

"I was a bit wayward early but managed to steady the ship on the front nine and keep things moving" added Cooper.

The low round of the final round came from Mike Harwood who carded a two-under-par 68 to finish in a tie for third with one-over-par total of 141.

Dolan was once again a model of consistency posting a one-under-par 69 on Thursday to go along with his opening round of even-par 70 to finish two shots back of Cooper.

The Cronulla golf club is situated half an hour south of Sydney and has undergone a major clubhouse renovation in recent months and along with a premier golf course, has established itself as one of the best semi-private golf clubs in New South Wales.

The E-Z-GO Legends Tour visits The Kareela Golf Club on Friday where Mike Harwood will hope to defend his crown and take a share of the $20,000 purse.

The legends players will then move on to Beverly Park Golf Club on Saturday before making the trip down to the Kiama Golf Club on Monday situated just an hour south of Sydney.

Mollymook Golf Club will play host to the 2014 NSW Senior PGA Championship which begins next Friday with the likes of Roger David, Mike Harwood and Terry Price set to tee it up on this world class course on the NSW south-coast.
