Brendan Jones’ injury interrupted Japan Tour season ended at the weekend with a T22 result at the Casio World Open.
Jones, who finished third last week and took plenty of confidence to this week’s event, found the early going tough with rounds of 72-70 and 71 before closing with his best of the week, a final round 67.
At 8-under for the tournament both Jones and Brad Kennedy were nine shots behind winner Shingo Katayama.
Brad Kennedy will now play the season ending Golf Nippon JT Series Cup, a limited field event reserved for the top 30 money winners on the Tour.
Kennedy finished the season 27th on the money list, the only Australasian to make the field.
Steve Conran (T28) and David Smail (T62) were the only other Australasians to make the cut at the Casio event with Scott Strange failing to make the weekend’s play.
