Rhein Gibson can breathe easy until the third re-shuffle of the 2015 Web.com season while Bryden Macpherson has guaranteed starts until the second re-shuffle after the six round Q-School finished today.
The Q-School awards full status to the winner while those in the top-10 are spared a re-rank until the third re-shuffle and those from 11-45 until the second re-rank.
For those outside it is a week to week proposition as to when and where they get starts.
The re-ranking of players occurs after every fourth event for the first 12 events of the season with those who have played well able to improve their ranking for the following period.
The ranking determines which players are eligible to enter each tournament so the higher the ranking a player can achieve the more opportunities they have to play and, consequently, improve their ranking.
Gibson finished the six rounds at 18-under-par, good enough for outright 4th, while Macpherson was 10-under and in a share of 21st place.
Eight Australians teed up in the final stage of the Qualifying School but only Gibson and Macpherson finished inside the top-45.
2012 PGA Trainee of the Year Jack Wilson suffered a heart breaking final round firing a 6-over-par 77 to fall from inside the top-45 to T87.
Having started the day well with two birdies in his first three holes Wilson gave shots back at the 6th and 9th to turn even par.
However, a disastrous triple bogey 7 at the par-4 11th proved his downfall. He added bogeys at 13 and 16, plus a double at 18, to be one of only three players to drop more than 45 places on the final day.
Oliver Goss was the third highest finisher for the week at 6-under and T50 followed by Wilson with Brett Drewitt and David McKenzie (2-over, T103) next.
Brody Ninyette (10-over, T130) and Ray Beaufils (11-over, T134) struggled all week and will have limited status as a result.
Macpherson and Gibson join eight Australians who retained their Web.com cards at the end of last season.
Rod Pampling, Steve Allan, Ashley Hall, Alistair Presnell, Aron Price, Mathew Goggin, Adam Crawford and James Nitties all finished between 26-75 on the 2014 regular season money list to retain status.
The 2015 Web.com Tour schedule is yet to be released but will likely start in February in Colombia.
