Play underway at QLD PGA after suspension

The second round has recommenced following a three hour delay.

The second round has recommenced following a three hour delay.

The second round of the Coca-Cola Queensland PGA Championship teed off as scheduled this morning.

However it wasn’t long before heavy rain started to fall on City Golf Club caused by Tropical Cyclone Marcia which has hit Yeppoon on the north coast of Queensland.

With holes going underwater, the course became unplayable and the round was suspended at 7.38am.

With a break in the heavy rain the grounds staff were able to get out on course and thank to their hard work, get it back to playing condition.

The round recommenced at 10.30am with the intention to play as much golf as possible today.

Due to the delay all afternoon tee times have been pushed back by three hours.
