The second round of the Coca-Cola Queensland PGA Championship is now completed.

Teeing off as scheduled, the second round recommenced at
6.45am with favourable conditions greeting players.

It was predicted that the Toowoomba region would be smashed
by heavy rains but luckily for the tournament and local residents it headed south-east
towards the coast.

This lucky break has allowed the second round to be
completed, with the third round due to tee off at 12pm.

Tournament organisers are now confident of completing a 72
hole championship.

The halfway cut was made at 2-over the card with 56
Professionals and four amateurs making it through to rounds 3 and 4.

Heading into the third round Aaron Towsend and Brad Kennedy,
who played on opposite sides of the draw, are tied for the lead at 9-under the
card.
