Our Australian Professionals have taken the golfing world by storm this weekend with Rod Pampling, Adam Bland and Jason Norris all clubhouse leaders heading into the final round of their respective tournaments.
Rod Pampling has had three rounds of magnificent play at BMW Charity Pro-Am Presented by SYNNEX Corporation on the Web.com Tour.
Pampling fired nine birdies in a bogey-free 63 opening round to give the Queenslander his lowest career score on the Web.com Tour.
"There’s a lot of tee shots that set up really well for me and we took advantage of it," Pampling said.
Pampling goes into the final round with a two shot lead ahead of Americans Mark Blakefield and Kelly Kraft, while fellow Queenslander Bronson La’Cassie is only four shots off the lead.
On the Japan Golf Tour Adam Bland holds an incredible six shot lead at the Japan PGA Championship Nissin Cupnoodle Cup, thanks to a stellar opening round that also produced nine birdies.
A win for Bland this weekend would see him become the first Australian in the tournaments history to secure a victory.
While at the 34th GS Caltex Maekyung Open Golf Championship on the OneAsia Tour, Jason Norris shot an even par 72 round three to lead the tournament on 7-under and two shots ahead of Korean Kyongjun Moon.
If Norris holds this margin he would be the first foreigner to win the GS Caltex Maekyung Open Golf Championship in a decade.
