Firing
a very consistent pair of
5-under 66’s to post a tournament total of 10-under
132 it was enough to
outlast a fast finishing Michael Foster (WA) and Max McCardle (SA) both tied on
8-under 134.
More importantly
this week it means
NSW bragging rights as
the rivalry between the NSW
and QLD players is heating up with the Origin decider to be played this Wednesday.
"Hopefully this is a good omen," said Papadatos.
"It was great out there today, the weather was fantastic
and I had a relaxed group of playing
partners who kept me focused
on the task at hand,"
said
Papadatos.
"I love coming up to NT, I played here as an amateur and a few of my mates were playing so I thought I’d come up, play, and
enjoy the warm weather. I’m glad that I did," said
Papadatos.
Michael Foster saved his best work until the last event
of the
May-July series posting his best result with a 5-under
66 today to jump up into second place.
"It’s been
a good couple of months seeing the best that WA and
the NT have to offer," said Foster.
"It wasn’t as good as I had
hoped but hopefully I’m
playing my way into some form."
Max McCardle wrapped up the WA / NT Order of Merit award with another solid result finishing
tied second today with Foster.
"It’s been
a great series this year. I
made the most of my opportunities and got the job done, I’m very happy to secure an Order of Merit win,"
said McCardle.
