Steve Allan and Bryden Macpherson were the big winners from the 13 strong Australian contingent to tee up in the Web.com Tour’s Utah Championship this week.

"SteveAllan inched closer
to a top-25 money list position and automatic promotion to the PGA Tour at the
end of the season with a T11 finish while Macpherson posted his best finish
since joining the Tour this year.

Allan moved
from 34th to 31st on the money list and with four full
field events left before the four tournament qualifying series gets underway to
determine cards for next season he has a good chance to play his way back into
the big leagues.

For Macpherson
the result was a positive of a different kind after enduring a difficult first
season in America.

His T18 this
week comfortably eclipsed his previous best finish of T27 and was his fourth
consecutive made cut, an encouraging sign after he missed playing the weekend
in six of his first eight appearances this year.

The former
British Amateur winner has struggled to find his feet in 2015 but appears to
have turned his fortunes around in the past month.

Allan and
Macpherson were among six Australians to make the cut in Utah, Rod Pampling
(T41), Adam Crawford (T53), Brett Drewitt (T57) and Rhein Gibson (T71) the
others.

Ash Hall,
Bronson La’Cassie, James Nitties, Aron Price, Mathew Goggin, Alistair Presnell
and Oliver Goss all missed the weekend after struggling the first two rounds.
