Ryan Fox picked up where he left off on the Challenge Tour this week, with the New Zealander on fire in the limited field Rolex Trophy tournament to finish outright third.
After a three week break from the Tour, Fox opened with a 10-under 62 in the first round to take the lead, his score including eagles at three of the Geneva Golf Club’s four par 5’s.
In his last four tournaments Fox is a total of 50-under-par notching an incredible seven eagles and 46 birdies.
While his first round heroics cooled somewhat in a second round 70, Fox began the final round just two shots out of the lead and with a genuine chance at a second Challenge Tour victory in just six events.
Another 70 in the final round saw the two time PGA Tour of Australasia winner slip to third in the tournament but having now climbed to fourth on the Order of Merit Fox is all but guaranteed a full card for the 2016 European Tour.
A sponsor’s invite to the Najeti Open in France in June has launched a career changing run of form for Fox who has gone from no status on any international Tour to a likely full member of the second biggest Tour in the world next year.
He has just one finish outside the top-10 in six starts and has quickly become one of the stars of Europe’s secondary circuit.
