With Legends of the game including Roger Davis, Mike Harwood and Terry Price all in red hot form, tour newcomers including Peter O’Malley and rookie sensation Michael Barry from Victoria will be looking to make a mark on some of the most picturesque courses in Australia.
The South Coast swing begins with the Bermagui Legends Pro-Am on Monday 19th which is a new event on the Tour this year.
Players will then head north up the Princess highway to Batemans Bay for the Catalina Legends Pro-Am which last year was awarded E-Z-GO Legends Pro-Am of the year.
Defending champion Tim Elliot will be one of the favourites however in a field of international stars from South Africa, Fiji and New Zealand the competition will be stronger than ever for the Victorian.
Catalina hosts the Legends Tour on Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd with the final round being a pro-only field and locals welcomed to come out to watch some of the game’s greatest players.
Following Catalina will be the prestigious NSW/ACT PGA Senior PGA played at The Hilltop Course at Mollymook Golf Club which has established itself as one of the favourite stops on the E-Z-GO Legends Tour.
Defending champion and Australian golfing icon Terry Price is excited to return to Mollymook where he defeated Michael Harwood in a sudden death playoff.
The championship begins on Friday 23rd with the final round being played on Saturday with free entry for spectators.
The South Coast series leads into a busy month during November in Sydney which includes the $100,000 2015 Australian PGA Senior Championship at Richmond and more than a dozen other Legends events worth more than $150,000 combined.
