While his putting statistics were less than spectacular Scott will take hope from the week in Japan where despite having 31 putts or more each day he managed to finish T7.
A third round 74 aside, the 2013 Masters champion played solid golf to shoot under par in three of the four rounds and be one of only five players to break 70 on Sunday.
Adam Bland was next best of the Australians finishing T12, one shot ahead of Won Joon Lee (T15).
Brendan Jones (T31) and Brad Kennedy (T35) were the only other Australasians to make the cut, Michael Hendry and amateur Lucas Herbert both missing the weekend by a shot.
