17-year-old amateur Min Woo Lee will be a genuine contender at the Nexus Risk TSA Group WA Open.

"MinHe showed last week in
Kalgooorlie he has plenty of game after he fired a course record to lead the WA
PGA Championship after the first round.

"Hopefully a result at the end, I’ll
definitely check my scorecard and do what I have to do," said Lee who was
disqualified last week for signing an incorrect scorecard on Sunday.

This week
he will be even more confident of a good performance, Lee will be playing his
home track, Royal Fremantle GC.

"This is
my home club, I play here every day so I think I will have an advantage," added
Lee.

"Knowing some of the lines off tees and how the green slopes are
definitely an advantage."

While Lee will be hoping for a top finish, first he
is focused on making the cut, a feat his famous sister Minjee Lee never managed
in her three attempts at the PGA Tour of Australasia tournament.

"I’m trying to
get a good result and be up there in one of the final groups on Sunday," added Lee.

"Every
tournament I get in I’m always trying to be up there and not just make the cut
but it will be something to brag about to my sister."
