Perfect conditions greeted players at The National Golf Club’s Long Island course, which was in sensational condition with firm and fast greens.
Following the morning field Victorian Ben Ford held a two shot lead after firing a 3-under 69 but it wouldn’t be enough for victory, with New Zealander Mathew Perry firing a 4-under 68 to win by one shot.
Order of Merit leader Luke Hickman finished tied third with defending champ Steve Kent on 2-under 70.
