Usually on the Gold Coast for a holiday, Brandt Snedeker has
business on his mind this week.

"BrandtFlying into the Gold Coast yesterday, Snedeker is ready to
compete in the Australian PGA Championship at RACV Royal Pines Resort from 3-6
December.

"It’s always great
to be back in Australia, it’s a place that I love to come to and I have a lot
of great memories of," said Snedeker.

"I’d like to get
that first win in Australia and be relevant again down here and hopefully I can
kind of make this not an every five year trip, an every couple of year’s
trip.  I love coming down here."

Happy to finally be playing again in Australia, Snedeker has
stayed far away from segways in his preparation for the tournament.
The American was famously forced to withdraw in 2013 after he fell off one of
the transportation devices.

"I was taking it back in
and being the idiot I am, I decided to see how fast these things can go and hit
a sprinkler head," explained Snedeker of the accident.

"It threw me off and I
landed on my knee funny, I heard a pop and it started swelling up instantly."

"I flew back home
and I had a slight tear in my ACL, cracked bone, bone bruise and all kinds of
bad stuff."

"So it was
disappointing as I was looking forward to coming down here and I was playing
some pretty good golf at the time."

This week his game is feeling sharp but while he may be the
highest ranked player in the field, Snedeker doesn’t think it’s going to be a
walk in the park.

"Obviously none of those
guys look at me and think they need to knock me off, I see a bunch of young
Australian kids that are hungry, that are great players and that are going to
be tough to beat," added Snedeker.

"The field’s pretty strong
and there are some great talented guys in the field, so it’s definitely by no
means a one horse race."

While it will be all business on course for Snedeker, he is
also looking forward to enjoying a little bit of what the Gold Coast is famous
for.

"I’ve been here before on a
vacation for a week so I can’t wait to go down and check out the beach and hang
out in a couple of restaurants down there as I’ve been down that area before."

"I know Adam Scott
and bunch of those guys have places down here and spend a lot of time here and
they always tell me about it and so I’m going to check it out a little bit."
