Thirteenth Beach Golf Links is set for a huge weekend
of golf with a jam packed leaderboard at the Oates Vic Open.

New South Welshman Aron Price has taken the halfway lead at the Oates Vic Open
thanks to a birdie on his final hole.

Enjoying the challenge of the afternoon wind Price fired 4-under 68 on the
Beach Course to be 9-under the card after his opening rounds.

Sitting a shot behind him is West Australian Stephen Dartnall who fired 5-under
67 thanks to a birdie streak through the middle of his round.

First round leader Scott Strange had a round he’d rather forget, dropping four
shots in three holes to end the day with a 2-over 74. He now finds himself tied
third with fellow West Australian Stephen Leaney and Adam Blyth on 7-under the
card.

Monday qualifier James Gibellini is making the most of his opportunity at the
Oates Vic Open. He fired 5-under 67 on the Creek Course to move to T6 on
6-under the card with Michael Sim, Todd Sinnott and 2014 Vic Open champion
Matthew Griffin.

Rounding out the top-10 on the leaderboard on 5-under the card is Torquay local
and NSW Open champion Ben Eccles, NSW PGA champion Jarryd Felton, 2015 PGA Tour
of Australasia player of the Year Matt Millar, Leigh McKechnie, Michael Long,
Kristopher Mueck and American Ryan Carter.

The second round cut was made at even par with 59 Professionals and four
amateurs making the weekend rounds.

The third round of the Oates Vic Open will tee off at 7.10am with the last
group of Price, Dartnall and Leaney on course at 1.10pm.

"I definitely had a lot of chances out there. I limped in at the end but pretty
