the Australian contingent at the ISPS HANDA Perth International.

"JasonScrivener fired a 3-under round to move to
11-under and tied fourth for the tournament.

"Yeah it was a good day today, I didn’t
make too many mistakes – other than the last – but I’m in a good position going
into tomorrow," Scrivener said.

"A lot of it is in Louis’ (Oosthuizen) hands
but if I can go out and shoot a good number tomorrow who knows what will
happen," he continued.

Growing up in Mandurah Scrivener has
enjoyed the atmosphere at the Lake Karrinyup Country Club with crowds following
him throughout the tournament.

"I have all my friends and family following
today so that’s always nice, it feels very comfortable for me and it’s just a
good vibe out there," Scrivener said.

With world-21 and pre-tournament favourite
Louis Oosthuizen stamping his class on the field firing a 5-under 67 and moving
out to a three shot lead by the end of the day Scrivener is quite happy to fly
under the radar.

"Everyone else can kind of do the work,
they’ve all won before, done it before, I’m very happy to go under the radar
and maybe if I can shoot a low one tomorrow and come up from behind," he said.

"I feel like I haven’t played my best golf
yet, I’ve played some solid golf at times but haven’t really played my A-game
yet. So if I can really fire at a few flags and hit a lot of good shots I think
I can shoot a low one out there tomorrow," Scrivener added.

Scrivener would be delighted to take a win
in front of a home crowd but says shooting a low score tomorrow and putting
himself in the best possible position is his main focus.

"It would be great to win in Perth, it
would be awesome to win in front of friends and family but it’s a long way away
and Louis is a long way ahead."

"If I can play well tomorrow whether I win
or not it’s still a big advantage to get a tournament at home. It’s a great
opportunity for all Australians really, the more opportunities we can get here to
play on big stages its great," Scrivener said.
