The Web.com Tour’s inaugural Nashville Golf
Open proved a tough challenge for the eight strong Australian challenge, Peter
Lonard and Brett Drewitt the only two to play all 72 holes.
A 1-under cut line saw six of the eight
Australians book an early flight out of Memphis, Mathew Goggin coming within
one shot of making the cut with back-to-back even par rounds.
Drewitt took top Australian honours at T38
after rounds of 70-72-68-74, two ahead of Lonard at T50 with 74-69-69-74.
Drewitt is expected to drop three spots on
the money list from 29 to 32 but is still in prime position to play his way to
the 2017 PGA TOUR if he can get into the top-25.
Goggin, Greg Chalmers, Oliver Goss, Scott
Gardiner, Bryden Macpherson and Steve Allan all missed the weekend’s play.
