Zunic looks for international Tour card

After his recent PGA Tour of Australasia win in the Northern Territory it will be a confident Jordan Zunic who heads to this week’s Kolon Korean Open on the One Asia Tour trying to become the first Australian to claim the title.

""Zunic, also a former New Zealand Open winner, is without a card on an international Tour and will be keen to make the most of the opportunity to play some competitive golf.

His wire-to-wire win at the inaugural Northern Territory PGA Championship last month was impressive and if he can continue that form will be a legitimate contender this week.

Zunic is one of 15 Australians in the field for the event which is the first on the schedule since May.

The Kolon Korean Open has been played since 1958 but despite some close calls no Australian has ever claimed the title.

Former Fiji International winner Steven Jeffress has had one of the best results in recent years with a T5 in 2015 and he is back this year to try to go one better.

Big hitting Todd Sinnott, who finished T6 behind Zunic in Palmerston, also earns a start this week as do Matt Guyatt and Aaron Pike.

Daniel Valente, David Mckenzie, Kevin Lee, Michael Choi, Jason Norris, Jamie Arnold, Nathan Buzimik, Cory Crawford, Antonio Murdaca and Nabil Abdul round out the Australian challenge.
