""With 10 players within striking distance of the leaders it would come down to clever course management and patience to decide the winner.

After 36 holes Professionals Brad Burns, Steven Jeffress, Ryan Haller and Nelson Turner were tied on 7-under par to be joint winners of this year’s Purcell’s Engineering Blackwater Pro-Am.

Brad Burns played a steady round with six birdies and just the one bogey on his way to a 5-under par 67, “I was pleased with the way I hit the ball today setting up a number of opportunities for birdies, I also holed a few par saving putts including a 12 footer on the last,” Burns said.

Emerald Pro-Am Winner Steven Jeffress had a bogey free round for his 5-under 67. Ryan Haller, Tieri Pro-Am winner, shot five birdies with his only bogey on the 13th hole for his 3 under par. Nelson Turner remains in good form backing up from his second place at Emerald to secure his first ever win on the Ladbrokes PGA Pro-Am Series.

The top standings in the Onsite Rental Group Mining Towns Series are tight with Steven Jeffress on 17-under par holding a three shot lead over Paul Hayden at 14-under, Nelson Turner is a further shot back on 13-under.

The next stop in the Mining Towns Series will be the Moranbah Golf Club where play begins at 7.00am Saturday morning for the Moranbah Mini Earthmoving Pro-Am, with the leading players teeing off in the 12pm field.
