South Australia’s Peter Cooke pulled ahead on the final day of the Broome Furnishings Open to claim his third win in the event.
Cooke shot the round of the day with 5-under par 67 to put a strangle hold on the trophy for the third time in 5 years.
“I love this course and to have the opportunity to come to Broome is something I love and I’m sure all the other guys do too," said Cooke after his impressive round.
“I wish there was more courses like this on Tour as it really asks questions of all areas of your game. You can’t just bomb away on this course, you have to place it in to certain spots to give yourself the best opportunity for your approach shots, and I find I do that well here.”
“A big thank you to Glen McCardle from Broome Furnishings as well as Billy and Carol from the Club who have once again put on an amazing week of golf and I can’t wait to return in 2018 to do it all again.”
With the players raving about the set up of this year’s course, it was a tough challenge with only three finishing under par.
Broome once again proved the perfect oasis for the final event of the Ladbrokes PGA Pro-Am Series WA/SA swing for now.
Victorian Kris Mueck still leads the WA Order of Merit with two events remaining to be played later in the year.
