Western Australia’s Daniel Fox has posted his best finish since joining the Challenge Tour this year, a T36 at the Made in Denmark event also seeing him claim top Australian honours.
The 40-year-old posted rounds of 73-69-67-75 on his way to a T36 finish, his first made cut in his last four starts and an encouraging turnaround in form.
Fox, however, will likely be disappointed with the result after he dropped six shots in the final six holes of the tournament including a quadruple bogey nine at the par-5 13th.
After going out in 3-under Fox was on the edge of contention at 10-under when disaster struck, the shock of the 13th hole meltdown costing him three more bogeys on his way to the clubhouse.
Fox was one of three Australians to make the journey to Denmark, Daniel Gaunt finishing T50 while Dimi Papadatos missed the cut.
