Chasing one of the biggest purses of the Challenge Tour season Nick Cullen played some good golf at the Kazakhstan Open but ultimately made no headway on the Road to Oman standings.
The 2014 Australian Masters winner entered the week 40th on the season long table which determines cards for the main Tour in 2018 and finished the week in the same position after a T22 finish.
A second round 66 was the highlight of the week for Cullen who entered the weekend T11 and on track for a sizeable cheque.
But a disappointing third round 73 saw him slip outside the top-30 and while he climbed nine places with a final round of 2-under 70 will feel he let an opportunity slip.
Cullen was one of three Australians in the field for the week, Ben Eccles the only other to make the cut and finishing T56 whole Daniel Gaunt returned rounds of 75-71 to miss the weekend.
