There were signs of life in Scott Barr’s game at the Asian Tour’s Panasonic Open India as the veteran finished leading Australian at the Delhi Golf Club.

The 45-year-old played some of his best golf of the year at the notoriously difficult layout and was inside the top-20 before a disappointing final round dropped him down the standings.

Opening with rounds of 68-71-71 Barr was sharing 15^th place heading to Sunday’s final round but couldn’t maintain the momentum with a disappointing 76.

He dropped to a share of 32^nd courtesy of his worst round of the week though still led the Australian challenge with his second-best finish if the year.

Terry Pilkadaris finished a shot behind Barr to be T38, a good result after opening with back to back rounds of 73.

Pilkadaris fired 71-70 at the weekend to end the week under par, Kunal Bhasin the last of the Australians in the field but missing the cut.
