Tournament - PGA of Australia

Overview

    The Webex Players Series Hunter Valley will be the final event of the 2023/24 Webex Players Series, an innovative series of tournaments, now held across three states, that sees male and female professionals & elite amateurs lining up in the one field for the same prize purse.

    Across the weekend of the tournament, 16 junior & 9 All Abilities golfers will also tee off alongside the professionals in their own 36-hole competitions.

    Hosted by Peter O’Malley & Jan Stephenson, the $250,000 tournament will take place from February 15th to 18th and once again held at The Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort in the Hunter Valley.

    Parking:

    The Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort car parking is reserved for players, officials and corporate guests on Saturday & Sunday. Public car parking is located in the surrounding streets at The Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort.

    Parking for all patrons is free of charge for the duration of the tournament.

     

    Ticketing

    The Webex Players Series Hunter Valley is a free to attend and no tickets are required to enter the event.

     

    Hours of Play

    Approximately 7.30am to 6.30pm on Thursday and Friday

    Approximately 9.30am to 6.50pm on Saturday and Sunday*

    *Weekend times subject to change

     

    Tee times will be available on our website (http://www.pga.org.au) or app – PGA Tour of Australasia. Please note that the draw is not made until the Tuesday of tournament week.

    Public Catering

    Public Catering is available from The Oaks Cypress Lakes Clubhouse plus the halfway house located near the 9th tee.

     

    First Aid

    First Aid is available Thursday to Sunday at The Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort Clubhouse.

     

    Daily Draw Sheets and Maps

    Daily draw sheets and course maps will be available upon entry to the course, from the Proshop & Clubhouse and can also be accessed via the Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia app.

     

    Amenities

    There are public toilet facilities available in the following areas:

    • Clubhouse (accessible toilet available upstairs in hotel reception)
    • 3rd Green
    • 9th Tee
    • 14th Tee (Accessible toilet available)

     

    Television Broadcast

    The Webex Players Series Hunter Valley will be broadcast live on Fox Sports & Kayo across the weekend:

    Saturday 17th February – 4:00pm to 7:00pm AEDT

    Sunday 18th February – 2:00pm to 7:00pm AEDT

     

    Webex Women’s in Golf Clinic

    Held on Tuesday, 13th February at The Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort this free clinic is open to women of all ages and golfing ability. Enjoy a 90-minute skills session followed by Drinks, Canapes plus a Q&A with some of our WPGA Golf Professionals. Be quick to register, as the clinic is limited to just 20 spots!

    Play the Tournament Course

    This unique opportunity allows you to experience the course playing from the same tees the pros did. The course will be setup in full tournament conditions including Sunday pin placements.

    Evacuation Policy

    A golf tournament can continue play in raining conditions. If weather is potentially dangerous to players and spectators, then a siren will sound and play will be suspended. If the siren sounds, patrons are advised to seek shelter immediately and avoid the following: Open areas, hill tops and high places, isolated trees, golf buggies, telephone poles, metal or wire fences and metal stakes. If an evacuation is required, spectators will be directed to the nearest departure gates.

     

    Mobile Phone Policy

    Mobile phones may be used, however they must remain on SILENT at all times, and have the FLASH OFF. Mobile phone photography is permitted on all tournament competition days, and video on non-competition days only. Please always be considerate of tournament play and other spectators.

     

    Prohibited Items

    • Audio or video equipment (including professional SLR cameras)
    • Television, radio or noise producing devices
    • Large eskies, milk crates or step ladders
    • Firearms, weapons, or explosives
    • Alcoholic beverages or glass bottles
    • Bicycles
    • Drones, model aircraft, remotely operated camera equipment or other similar airborne devices
