Tournament - PGA of Australia

Overview

    The Webex Players Series Perth will be the second event in the 2024/25 Webex Players Series, an innovative series of tournaments, now held across four states, that sees male and female professionals & elite amateurs lining up in the one field for the same prize purse. 

    Superstar siblings Minjee and Min Woo Lee hope to provide a platform for the next wave of golf stars, having signed on to host the Webex Players Series Perth at Royal Fremantle Golf Club. The $250,000 tournament from January 9-12 is sanctioned by both the Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia and the WPGA Tour of Australasia.  

    The tournament will also feature junior & All Abilities golfers across the weekend in their own 36-hole competitions.

    Getting to Royal Fremantle Golf Club 

    Free spectator parking is available at Fremantle Cemetery, with access available from Carrington Street and Sainsbury Road. Spectators will be able to walk to Royal Fremantle Golf Club, accessing via Gate B on Sainsbury Road (adjacent to Samson Avenue) and a shuttle bus will be in operation on Saturday and Sunday from 8:30am (see below for more information).  

    Street parking is also available in the streets surrounding Royal Fremantle Golf Club with course access available via pedestrian access points on Stevens Street.  

    Please note that there is no pedestrian access available via the main entrance to the Golf Club on High Street.  

    Accessible Parking is available in the Royal Fremantle Golf Club car park.  

     

    Spectator Shuttle  

    A spectator shuttle will be in operation between 8:30am to 4:30pm on Saturday and 8:30am to 5:00pm on Sunday to pick up and drop off guests from the free spectator carpark at Fremantle Cemetery.  

    The return pick up point is located outside of the Royal Fremantle Golf Club Clubhouse in the main carpark. Please note that the last bus will leave Royal Fremantle Golf Club at 4:30pm on Saturday and 5:00pm on Sunday. These times will be extended should play finish past the scheduled finishing time.  

    Please follow the directions of event volunteers. 

     

    Ticketing 

    The Webex Players Series Perth is a free event and no tickets are required to enter the event.  

     

    Hours of Play 

    Approximately 7.00am to 6.00pm on Thursday and Friday 

    Approximately 7.00am to 4.00pm on Saturday and Sunday* 

    *Weekend times subject to change 

     

    Tee times will be available on our website (http://www.pga.org.au) or our app – PGA Tour of Australasia. Please note that the draw is not made until the Tuesday of tournament week. 

     

    Kids Activations 

    Bring the kids along to try golf in a fun, relaxed setting! Enjoy activities such as an inflatable dartboard and a hitting net. The Kids Zone will be open from 11:00am to 2:00pm on both Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th January.  

     

    Public Catering 

    Public Catering is available from the Royal Fremantle Golf Club Clubhouse as well as the Balter Bar which is operating on-course over the weekend, located at the 11th tee. 

     

    First Aid 

    First Aid is available Wednesday to Sunday in the Royal Fremantle Golf Club Clubhouse. Please take note of the location on the spectator map. 

     

    Daily Draw Sheets and Maps 

    Daily draw sheets and course maps will be available upon entry to the course, from the Golf Shop and can also be accessed by the PGA Tour of Australasia app. 

     

    Amenities 

    There are public toilet facilities available in the following areas 

    • Royal Fremantle Golf Club Clubhouse 
    • Adjacent to 18th Green (Accessible) 
    • 5th Tee  
    • 11th Green 

     

    Television Broadcast 

    The Webex Players Series South Australia will be broadcast live on Fox Sports & Kayo across the weekend. 

    • Saturday 11th January – 4:00pm to 7:00pm AEDT 
    • Sunday 12th January – 2:00pm to 7:00pm AEDT 

     

    Evacuation Policy 

    A golf tournament can continue play in raining conditions. If weather is potentially dangerous to players and spectators, then a siren will sound and play will be suspended.  

    If the siren sounds, patrons are advised to seek shelter immediately and avoid the following: Open areas, hill tops and high places, isolated trees, golf buggies, telephone poles, metal or wire fences and metal stakes. If an evacuation is required, spectators will be directed to the nearest departure gates. 

     

    Mobile Phone Policy 

    Mobile phones may be used, however they must remain on SILENT at all times, and have the FLASH OFF. Mobile phone photography is permitted on all tournament competition days, and video on non-competition days only. Please always be considerate of tournament play and other spectators. 

     

    Prohibited Items 

    • Audio or video equipment (including professional SLR cameras) 
    • Television, radio or noise producing devices 
    • Large eskies, milk crates or step ladders 
    • Firearms, weapons, or explosives 
    • Alcoholic beverages or glass bottles 
    • Drones, model aircraft, remotely operated camera equipment or other similar airborne devices
