Brody Martin has won the Austbrokes Central Coast Pro-Am for the second year in a row on the Ladbrokes Pro-Am Series with an impressive scorecard of 6-under 65.
Teeing it up alongside 57 PGA Professionals, Martin used his knowledge of the course he calls his home away from home to win by two strokes at Wyong Golf Club.
“The boys here look after me when I’m in town by letting me practice and use the facilities,” said the West Australian.
“I’ve become very comfortable playing the course and it really suits my game.”
Rookie Justin Warren topped the morning field with a score of 4-under 67 that would eventually see him finish in second place.
Former ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia winner Aaron Townsend showed some form leading into the Australian summer with a round of 3-under 68 to claim outright third.
The competitiveness of the field showed further down the leaderboard where a logjam of seven players tied for fourth place.
Jordan Widdicombe, Jay Mackenzie, Taylor Cooper, Andrew Campbell, Jordan Zunic, Robert Hogan and Troy Moses all completed their rounds at 2-under 69.
The NSW/ACT swing of the Ladbrokes Pro-Am Series now moves to the Coca-Cola Shelly Beach Golf Club Pro-Am on 4 October.
