After some indifferent golf in the Web.com season opener in Panama last week Rod Pampling found his rhythm at the weather effected Colombian tournament to post a top 10 finish.
The Queenslander, who found his game during the Australian
summer and earned a British Open spot with his runner-up finish at the
Australian Open, posted round of 72-66-66-69 to be 11-under for the week and
T8.
The news wasn’t so good for the rest of the Australians on
the secondary tour with no others finishing in the top 25.
Aron Price, who had one of the best rounds on Sunday with a
4-under 67, was next best at T31 followed by Tour rookie Brett Drewitt (T59),
James Nitties (T65), Steve Allan (T69) and Rhein Gibson (T77).
Drewitt’s fellow rookies Oliver Goss and Bryden MacPherson
both missed the cut as did Ash Hall, Bronson La’Cassie, Alistair Presnell, Adam
Crawford and Scott Gardiner.
Last week’s winner Mathew Goggin also missed the weekend.
