Geoff Ogilvy posted his best result of the 2015 season this week, his T7 effort at the Wells Fargo Championship this week making him the only Australian inside the top-25.

"GeoffOgilvy, who ended a two year slump with a
victory at the Barracuda Championship last year, built on some good form from
the previous week’s PLAYERS with three sub 70 rounds and is showing encouraging
signs heading into some of the northern summer’s big events.

The 2006 US Open champion has struggled on
the greens this year ranking 190th on Tour in the Strokes Gained
Putting category but he turned that around at Quail Hollow where he picked up
just over a shot to the field for the week.

Ogilvy was paired for the final round with
Matt Jones whose day didn’t unfold as well as his Victorian counterpart.

Jones limped to the turn in 40 in the final
round and dropped another shot at the 10th to look in real trouble
but showed great grit to post three straight birdies from the 13th
and limit the damage to a 2-over 74.

However, on a low scoring day that dropped
him 14 places down the leader board to T28, two shots ahead of Steven Bowditch
who was T47.

Aaron Baddeley was the last of the
Australians to make the cut at T55 with Adam Scott, Robert Allenby, Cameron
Percy and Jarrod Lyle all missing the weekend’s play.
