Damien Jordan has continued his run of dominance on the Sunshine Swing of
the PGA Pro-Am Series after claiming a two shot win at the Maroochy River
Pro-Am.

"DamienPlayed for only the
second time on the Maroochy River layout after moving from its original Horton
Park site in May of last year, Jordan fired a course record equalling 6-under
66 to set up a three shot lead heading into the final round.

A solid 1-under 71 in
the final round would give Jordan a 7-under the card total and a two shot
victory over Steven Jones and Sunshine Coast Professional Marcus Cain.

2016 has been a
breakout year for Jordan, holding a commanding lead on the Sunshine Swing of
the PGA Pro-Am Series Order of Merit race.

"There has been a lot
of hard work put into my game over the past eight months, and it’s nice to see
the improvement in results over that time," said Jordan.

"My
game seems to be getting better with every competitive round I play, and
although I missed a few makeable putts throughout the final round, I am still
really happy with where my game is at."

"I
am choosing to give the Mt Coolum Pro-Am on Monday a miss, but I am really looking forward to
playing my home Pro-Am on Friday at Coolangatta."

Many
of the professionals will remain on the Sunshine Coast over the weekend, as the
Sunshine Swing of the PGA Pro-Am Series =returns to the Mt Coolum Golf Club for
its first pro-am to be staged since 2011.
