With 10 events being held concurrently across the United States, there will be plenty of action to stay across as the golfing world’s focus shifts to Erin Hills next week 12-18 June.
The Australasian’s face stiff competition around the country with 902 golfers battling for a limited number of positions.
There’ll be little time for Brett Coletta to celebrate his T25 finish at the Memorial tournament on the PGA TOUR as he tees it up alongside fellow Aussie young gun Lucas Herbert at the Tacoma Country & Golf Club.
The biggest Australian presence however will be at Brookside Golf & Country Club where Danny Lee, Ash Hall and Mathew Goggin will tee it up, Curtis Luck and Rod Pampling will also be on the quick back-up from the Memorial tournament.
Steven Bowditch is the other PGA TOUR regular to go straight from the Memorial to Sectional Qualifying; he travels to Lakewood Country Club with Nick Flanagan in an effort to make the U.S. Open.
Robert Allenby and Tim Wilkinson tackle the Jupiter Hills Club layout while Rhein Gibson features at Hawks Ridge Golf Club and Aaron Price tees off at Woodmont Country Club.
Germantown Country Club features three Australians in Brady Watt, Matt Jones and Stuart Appleby as well as Kiwi amateur James Anstiss, Queenslander Ray Beaufils is the sole Australian at the Big Canyon and Newport Country Club layouts.
Jason Day, Adam Scott, Wade Ormsby and Marc Leishman make up the Australian’s confirmed in next week’s U.S. Open.
