LEGENDS Tour Qualifying School

The Legends Tour Qualifying School is conducted at the end of each season to establish which players, not otherwise exempt, will gain their playing privileges on the Legends Tour for the following season through a qualifying competition.

The Qualifying School is usually conducted in early January:

1. The first stage (non-members wishing to join the Tour) being two rounds, 36 Holes over two days. 
2. Immediately followed by the second stage being two rounds, 36 holes over two days, both played in a stroke play format.

Qualifying School is a test of character and skill for those professionals who are seeking to regain a tournament exemption category or improve on their existing exemption category for the following season and those amateurs who are embarking on their professional careers.

(a) Eligibility

a) Eligibility The PGA of Australia Legends Tour Qualifying School is open to: 

i) All professional golfers who have reached 50 years of age on or before 30 June (new season)* and

 ii) All amateur golfers who have reached 50 years of age on or before 30 June (new season)* and have a handicap of 2.5 or less under the Handicapping Scheme adopted by the recognised authority controlling golf in the country from which they elect to enter. (NB: Please refer to section relating to amateur status) 

*Successful qualifiers will only be eligible to compete in PGA Legends Events on reaching 50 years of age. Exemptions are for the new season only.
