Peter Fowler’s exceptional record on the European Seniors Tour has seen him earn a seventh consecutive start in the U.S. Senior Open.

Fowler is one of three Australasians in the field at The Broadmoor in Colorado this week, his place in the field assured after a top-6 finish on the over 50’s Order of Merit in Europe last year.

Fowler has been a fixture at America’s most prestigious over 50’s event since his debut in 2012 and in six starts so far has missed the cut just once.

He has twice been T17, his best finish, though led after two rounds in 2015 before fading at the weekend.

Fowler is joined this week by Champions Tour regular David McKenzie and New Zealand’s Grant Waite, both of whom survived sectional qualifying for the tournament.

McKenzie makes his debut in the tournament having only turned 50 after it was played last year while Waite makes his third appearance, his best finish coming three years ago when T3.
